Divine Ministry - The First Gospel This new book is an easy-to-understand commentary on the Book of Mormon and Jesus' ministry to the Nephites. The author labels this as "the first Gospel" because in the Savior's immortal state, His teachings take precedence to the biblical accounts, which have undergone various translations and transcriptions. The account of this record thus called "Divine Ministry" because it is the account of His coming, teaching and ministering as an immortal, divine being. >> CLICK HERE |

LDS News Headlines: Petition asks Retailers to Carry Modest Clothing TUCSON - A group of high school students and parents are circulating a petition asking retailers to carry more modest clothing. The petition asks for a larger selection of clothing that "covers the midriff, bust, shoulders, back, legs to the knee - in general, clothing that shows respect for the body." The Tucson modesty petition has collected more than 1,300 signatures so far, organizers said. Similar petitions have been springing up around the United States in recent years. Many of the petitions, including the Tucson effort, involve members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. "Part of our standards are we cover ourselves and show respect for ourselves," said Natalie Evans, one of about 20 girls preparing for a Sept. 24 fashion show dedicated to showing that teenagers can be both modest and stylish. >> Click here for entire story Book of Mormon Paintings Featured in Exhibit SALT LAKE CITY Seventeen original oil paintings depicting epic Book of Mormon scenes will be on temporary display at the Museum of Church History and Art in Salt Lake City.
