Jan. 7th: SLC, UT At 7:30pm the Temple Square - Utah Youth Symphony a 150-member Utah Youth Symphony, under the direction of Barbara Scowcroft, will perform in the Tabernacle: Samson and Delilah Bacchanale Op. 47, Introduction et Rondo Capriccioso (with violinist Ralph Matson), and Symphony No. 3 “Organ,”, all by Saint-Saens. The Utah Youth Symphony is composed of outstanding high school-age and college-age musicians. Scowcroft, of the University of Utah violin faculty, is well known in Utah music circles. In addition, the Temple Square Concert Series features performances every Friday and Saturday at 7:30 P.M. No charge for admission, but limited to those 8 years of age and older.
