Burke Roney: Let It All Come Down CD

From recording his first CD, performing his first public performance in over 15 years, and breaking into national radio with TOP 30 presence in the country's largest AC charts, to then seeing Burke perform in places like Las Vegas and Taiwan, one would say that this was quite the coming out party for Burke. The party hasn't stopped with the single still climbling in both major charts.

Gospel Questions & Answers:

Question:

"What can we do on the Sabbath? The opinion of the class as to keeping the Sabbath day holy seems to be quite negative. To the teen-agers, reading or visiting all day constitutes nothing but boredom. We often hear that the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath, so it is not hard to see where the idea that what is rest for the individual is keeping the Sabbath day holy.

In other words, one who does manual labor all week deserves physical rest on Sunday; one who works in mental labor should be able to get out and stretch his bones on Sunday. Is this true? Is it wrong to take rides on Sunday? What of the watching of TV on Sunday? What are some of the things we can do on Sunday?"

DID YOU KNOW... facts about Church History

Did you know that on this date in 1885 William M. Bunn, governor of Idaho, signed a law prohibiting Mormons from voting in Idaho through the device of a "test oath."

This law requires all voters to swear that they are not members of "any sect or organization which teaches, advises, or encourages the practice of polygamy or bigamy" (Roberts, Comprehensive history of the Church, 6:123).

Quote of the day:
On Family...

The family is far and away the greatest social unit, the best answer to human problems, in the history of mankind. (Ensign, May 1987, p.82.) >> James E. Faust
