Feb 1st: SLC, UT - ACDA Premier Concert by the Mormon Tabernalce Choir
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square will present a special concert in the Conference Center on Tuesday, February 1, 2005, at 8:00 p.m. No ticket required. This American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Premier Concert will feature music that the choir and orchestra will perform later that week for the ACDA convention at the Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles.

Returned Missionaries Give Basketball Team a Lift

OREGON - (Jan. 22, 2005) -- There are trips, and then there are trips. Portland State's Big Sky Conference-leading basketball team is on one. The Vikings, winners of eight consecutive games, play Weber State in Ogden, Utah, tonight and Idaho State in Pocatello on Saturday.

In the Big Sky, it's another tough road swing to two difficult venues. But for four PSU players, it's just another short hop on the journeys of their lives.

They know what a real trip is: At one point in 2002, shooting guard Jake Schroeder was in Seoul, South Korea; guard Dan Stock was in Uruguay; forward Tyler Hollist was in the Dominican Republic; and guard Josh Neeley was in Jackson, Miss. Each was serving a two-year Mormon mission, a period that exposed them to great poverty and living in a different culture.
