Activity Idea

"Center-Stage"

Are you ready to be center-stage in the spotlight? Here’s your chance to show off your theatrical and comical skills at Mutual. Divide the young men and young women into groups of about three or four. Give each group a bag of random props which they will use to write and perform a skit. Such props could include:

A flashlight
A lampshade
Hula hoops
Funny pieces of clothing
Tools
A newspaper
Dishes
Old pictures in frames
Anything else that you can think of!

Members of the groups should look through their bag of props and decide how to incorporate them into the skit. Everyone needs to play a part. If you’re feeling creative, include a theme for the skits. Draw straws to determine the order of the performances, and have fun!
