Have a monthly “Theme Sunday” such as a Neighbor Sunday, Manners Sunday, Ancestor Sunday, Music Sunday, Church History Sunday, Pioneer Sunday, Grandparents Sunday, Church President Sunday, etc. Focus your Sunday Activities and studies around that particular subject.

Lesson 6:
"Free to Choose Liberty and Eternal Life"

One of the messages that the Book of Mormon sends to us across the years is that parents (particularly fathers) have a great obligation to bless their children and to teach their children and to bear testimony to them. The Book of Mormon contains several chapters in which Lehi, Alma, Helaman, and others are engaged in this. When we read such things in this book, we must do more than believe the doctrine: we must follow the example. This lesson and the next will focus on what seem to be Lehi’s final admonitions to his children. Nephi tells us this of these teachings:

And it came to pass after my father, Lehi, had spoken unto all his household, according to the feelings of his heart and the Spirit of the Lord which was in him, he waxed old. And it came to pass that he died, and was buried. (2 Nephi 4:12)

"The Fall of Adam"

Satan tries to counterfeit the work of God, and by doing this he may deceive many. To make us lose hope, feel miserable like himself, and believe that we are beyond forgiveness, Satan might even misuse words from the scriptures that emphasize the justice of God, in order to imply that there is no mercy.

A mother’s nurturing love arouses in children, from their earliest days on earth, an awakening of the memories of love and goodness they experienced in their premortal existence. Because our mothers love us, we learn, or more accurately remember, that God also loves us.
