Duty to God program preparing young men worldwide

Las Vegas Nevada Highland Hills Stake President Todd Moody was thrilled when his son, Johnson, recently received a mission call to Singapore.

President Moody wondered what he could do to help his son best prepare for the Missionary Training Center. He came to understand that the MTC would take care of teaching the language skills and other day-to-day missionary tools young Elder Moody would utilize in Singapore. The most important item he would need before beginning his mission is a testimony and a firm "understanding of the doctrines of the gospel."

Now Aaronic Priesthood holders have an additional tool to help them build their testimonies even as they better understand and live the eternal doctrines of the gospel: the revised Duty to God program. Program materials have been mailed to many stakes and wards in the Church. Meanwhile, local priesthood leaders are organizing training meetings to help young men and their parents understand how Duty to God works and how best to implement the program in their quorums and personal lives.
