David Archuleta to Make Appearance at Utah Deseret Book

While Murray teenager David Archuleta is in Salt Lake City on tour, he’ll be making time to meet fans and sign his new CD, Christmas from the Heart. Archuleta will appear this Saturday, Nov. 21 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Fort Union Deseret Book in Midvale, Utah.

Christmas from the Heart is currently No. 9 on Billboard’s Holiday Albums chart. Archuleta is currently promoting the album in an 18-city tour.

Archuleta was the first runner-up in the seventh season of American Idol, losing to David Cook by 12 million votes at the May 2008 finale. However, for much of the season the former Star Search winner and child prodigy was considered the competition’s frontrunner, particularly after his moving performance of John Lennon’s “Imagine.” Simon had called season 7’s final David-vs.-David showdown a “total knockout” in Archuleta’s favor, and many viewers were surprised when he lost.
