BYU's decision to dissolve the Women's Research Institute is causing controversy across campus regarding women's rights and opportunities.The institute, which was organized to promote the study of women's issues, will be disbanded and the women's studies minor will now be administered by the College of Family, Home and Social Sciences.
Carri Jenkins, BYU spokeswoman, said the changes are a step forward.
