This guy is representitive of the usual pastors you will run into here in Dallas. Mormons at their most fundamental beliefes believe just as this Pastor does. The key tennants of the Faith. If everything extra we believe is wrong, then, yet, we are still Christians. These comments he makes are born from pride.

I am guessing that this Pastor Jeffress has not the first understanding of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and in attacking the Church is just showing his ignorance. Sorry to say this is just par for the course.

We believe in the SAME organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists and so forth. Joseph Smith has RESTORED the true church to the earth today, the PRIMITIVE church, meaning the first church on earth. Joseph Smith is not the founder, only an instrument in the hands of Heavenly Father to restore what was once here.

AT byumom8... Sorry but the official LDS church stance is that Joseph Smith is the founder of the Church. The LDS church even states it in a public way at the Nauvoo cafe on Temple Square on their place mates. I was surprise so I went to a stake High Council member and he said the same thing. He said that the church had to list someone that is alive as the founder which surprised me even further because the LDS church believes Jesus Christ is alive. So if anyone can find a general authority say differently Christ is not the founder of the LDS Church.
