MR says: "Ultimately, calling a religion a cult is a cowardly act, because the vagueness of the word provides plausible deniability to any who use it." --Washington Post

There is much debate on whether Joseph Smith—the man who founded the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, often known as the Mormon Church—was truly a prophet called of God, but one of his prophecies has undoubtedly come to pass. Apparently the Post did not do its' homework on Joseph's many revelations that have 'come to pass'. One glaring example, that affects the world even now, is section 87 of the D&C. Living on the Sharpsburg/Antietam battlefield (America's single bloodiest day, Sept. 17, 1861),as Saints, we are acutely aware of the 'coming to pass' of this revelation and use our presence here to teach our Missionaries about the Civil War(war of Northern agression to us Southerners)from an LDS (true history)perspective. Some of you reading this may be one of those hundreds of Missionaries that have blessed our home over the years and put up with our 'lessons'!Joseph's revelation, that forms section 87,is one of the most profound, and distinct revelations given to modern man. The world lives with this still unfolding revelation even now.Joseph was,is a Prophet of God.
