New Zealand's Valerie Adams took silver Monday in women's shot put at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.Adams, who won gold in 2008, was behind Nadzeya Ostapchuk of Belarus.
Adam's farthest toss was 20.70 meters to Ostapuchuk's 21.36 meters. Russian's Evegeniia Kolodko took third with 20.48 meters.
