This "issue" is not complex. It falls under the same condemnation as all sin that people pursue instead of avoiding. Look, when the Lord says to listen to his voice and follow him, that doesn't mean you ought to run after every other sound that comes into your ears. The Lord has been clear about the laws of chastity, and they start within your mind. If an inappropriate thought comes to your mind, throw it out and seek God. Don't dwell on it and distance yourself from the Lord.

Bridget, I'm sure you mean well, but your attitude is symptomatic of exactly the problem we have. When active LDS kids (and adults) are attempting suicide because they think the Church condemns them to hell due to their sexual orientation, I would call that a complex problem. You might want to spend a little time reading the material posted..
