In 2010, "America’s Got Talent" judge Piers Morgan told Lindsey Stirling there was no place in the world for a dubstep violinist. Five years later, Stirling has been named to the 2015 Forbes 30 Under 30 in Music list. In addition to the 28-year-old member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the list includes Ed Sheeran, Florida Georgia Line, Meghan Trainor and Sam Smith.
While some have criticized her unique performance style, Stirling has remained true to herself.
