'Great strength emerging' - Church leaders visit Chile

Elder Quentin L. Cook arrived in Chile recently to find faithful Latter-day Saints commemorating a pivotal anniversary in Church history even while looking forward to the building of a new temple and a rededication of their own lives to the gospel.

A member of the Quorum of the Twelve, Elder Cook was in Chile to preside over a review of the Chile Area and to meet with thousands of priesthood leaders, missionaries, young single adults and other local members. He was accompanied in his travels by Elder Steven E. Snow of the Presidency of the Seventy and Bishop Keith B. McMullin, second counselor in the Presiding Bishopric.
