'Saints on the frontier' - Church leaders visit Eastern Europe

"Visiting Saints on the frontier." This might be an apt summation of travels three General Authorities undertook June 8-18 in the Europe East Area, a part of the world where the Church has had official recognition for only 20 years or, in some cases, less than a year.

The combined travels of Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve, Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Presidency of the Seventy and Presiding Bishop Gary E. Stevenson took them to meetings with leaders, members and missionaries in Ukraine, Russia, Latvia, Turkey, Bulgaria and Armenia. All three were together in Kyiv, Ukraine, and Moscow, Russia.
