Did you know that during the original construction of the Salt Lake Temple, tourists could get a ticket to go to the top of the temple for a bird’s eye view?
A new art and artifacts exhibit in Salt Lake City, “Remembering the Salt Lake Temple: A Celebratory Exhibit,” shares this and other interesting stories, as well as photographs, artifacts, and memorabilia from the 19th century.
KSL.com writes that the exhibit takes visitors back in time to the original construction and dedication of the temple.
“This was their grand monument,” Caroline Parry, curator of the exhibit, told KSL-TV. “This was their testimony.”
“Remembering the Salt Lake Temple” is free to the public at Anthony’s Fine Art in downtown Salt Lake City through May 31, daily except Sundays, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
