God loves His children, and He wants to communicate with us through prayer. The Book of Mormon, a book of holy scripture that teaches about God’s dealings with the people of the ancient Americas, answers the questions of how we should pray, what we should pray for, and what blessings God gives us when we pray.
1. How should we pray?
When Jesus Christ visited the people in the ancient Americas, He taught them how to pray. He taught, “Therefore ye must always pray unto the Father in my name. And whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, which is right, believing that ye shall receive, behold it shall be given unto you” (3 Nephi 18:19–20).
