Police in California have released the 911 call made by the man who they say gunned down an LDS bishop on Sunday.

The call came minutes after Kenneth Ward killed Bishop Clay Sannar at a meetinghouse for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Visalia then fled to a different location.

Dispatcher: "911 emergency."
Ward: "Hi, this is Zane Thomas."
Dispatcher: "Hi, how can I help you?"
Ward: "I just shot the Mormon bishop over there on Tulare Avenue."
