BYU football: Two players suspended, withdrawing from school

One of the strongholds of the BYU defense has taken an additional hit with the news that senior safety Joe Sampson has been suspended for an unspecified violation of team rules and has withdrawn from school, as announced on Thursday by head football coach Bronco Mendenhall.

Sophomore linebacker Zac Stout was also suspended for a violation of team rules and has likewise withdrawn from school.
