Calling All Bakers: LDS Living Cookie Contest

by | Nov. 28, 2017

When LDS Living ran its first recipe contest in 2011, we had many great responses and tasty entries. The Lemon Crinkle Cookie has held the winning title for the last six years, and we felt it was time to challenge it! The prize for this delicious contest? One hundred dollars to Deseret Book and bragging rights at every ward dessert potluck and family gathering.

Here are the rules (for your recipe to be considered you must abide by each. See additional contest rules here):

1. Recipes must be original. Though we can't resist a good Otis Spunkmeyer (thank you Costco for keeping these heavenly morsels around!) we want to know what you have created. Simply changing the name of a recipe doesn't qualify, but if you tweak it beyond recognition or dust off an old family recipe, send it in! (Gluten free or other specialty recipes are also welcome!)

2. Recipes must be a cookie. Save your cake, bars, and other delectables for a later contest, and submit a picture of the completed recipe if possible, so we have a standard to aim for.

3. Submit the recipe with your full name, e-mail address, home city and state, and a valid daytime phone number by 11:59 p.m. Friday, December 22nd. (LDS Living will use this information only to contact you if you win; we will not use it for marketing or other purposes).

E-mail recipes to editor@ldsliving.com.

We will be testing and ranking the recipes after we receive them. The top recipe will get a $100 Deseret Book gift card, and all winners will be featured along with the runners-up in a future issue of LDS Living magazine!

We’re excited to see what kind of sweet recipe you have up your sleeve.

*By submitting your recipe, you are giving LDS Living the right to publish it on our website and/or in our magazine.
