Choir summer broadcasts to originate in the Conference Center

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir sings to sold-out houses while on tour and at home. To accommodate the burgeoning crowds in the summer and during the Christmas season, the Choir broadcasts its Sunday morning program Music and the Spoken Word from the Conference Center, a facility as revolutionary when it was built in 2000 as the Tabernacle when it was completed in 1867.

The Choir will be in residence in the larger auditorium this summer from June 30 to September 11. Tickets are not required for the Sunday performances but those attending should be seated by 9:15 a.m. The Choir also originates the broadcast from the Conference Center during LDS semiannual General Conferences the first Sunday in October and April.
