Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World star Chris Pratt is a well-known actor with some impressive accomplishments under his belt. Earlier this week he was the featured celebrity narrator at Disneyland’s annual Candlelight Processional, kicking off the Christmas spirit by reading the story of Christ’s birth to a large audience gathered at the park entrance.

Surrounded by an incredible choir and beautiful Christmas lights, Pratt read from the Bible with reverence and ended the event by testifying of a loving Father in Heaven. He began, “Ladies and gentlemen, it was really  my honor to share this beautiful candlelight ceremony with all of you.”

He continued, “It’s been a very special and inspiring night. For me, being a parent has really changed my life in so many ways. And one of those ways is to understand, truly, the love that a father could have for a child. When I stare at this precious little creation of mine here, and I watch the ways in which he tries to please me, I just fill with a love that I feel is so pure and unending. And the way we love our children, and the more we love our children, the more we will understand the capacity for our Father in Heaven to love us. Each and every one of us, a precious creation, and He just marvels in . . . the ways we try to please Him. That should give us all a great deal of comfort. I know it does for me.”

Pratt continued and shared his hope for this holiday season to be filled with love. He then added an enthusiastic, “Merry Christmas!”

The Latter-day Saints Choir of San Clemente participated in this inspiring Disneyland event as well. The choir has sung in 21 Candlelight performances, and Dave Nordstrom of the choir wrote to LDS Living sharing his experience in hearing Chris Pratt's testimony.

"Our choir has participated in 21 Candlelight performances and have shared the stage with many wonderful celebrity narrators ... Nevertheless, this year's narrator, Chris Pratt, had NO reservations while sharing his testimony about our Heavenly Father and His Son. It was clear that he understood the important message regarding our Savior's birth and His divine ministry. The spirit was pouring during all the performances this past weekend."

This isn’t the first time Pratt has publicly shared his faith with his fans and followers. While accepting the MTV Generation award, he said, “God is real. God loves you. God wants the best for you. I believe that. I do.” Later in the speech, he encouraged everyone to learn to pray.

In an interview with AP, he mentioned that he feels called to share his testimony of God with the world and that “nothing fills my soul more” than thinking someone could benefit from his message. And when asked about what it’s like to share his faith in his industry, he said, “I’ve never had anyone try to shame me, to my face. Maybe they go say it behind my back, but if that’s the case, go ahead. You can say whatever you want to about me, to my face or behind my back. I’m never going to change.”
