Church mobile apps: 'Flooding the earth' with good media

When President Ezra Taft Benson (1899-1994) delivered a conference address titled "Flooding the Earth with the Book of Mormon" in 1988, the World Wide Web — the Internet protocol that made "dot-com" and "hyperlink" household words — was still two years away from being invented.

More than two decades since his landmark address, President Benson's vision to "move the Book of Mormon forward now in a marvelous manner" is indeed helping to bring a flood of gospel resources to the world. And it's also happening wirelessly — straight to smartphone and tablet devices — thanks to a few mobile apps developed by the Church and Brigham Young University.
