Cougars ranked 10th, 11th in national polls

More proof that the Mountain West Conference is enjoying the best season of college basketball in its history: it has two top-10 teams for the first time.

The BYU Cougars (16-1) jumped from No. 14 to No. 10 in the USA Today/ESPN Top 25 college basketball coaches poll, while San Diego State (17-0) held steady at No. 6 in both polls.

The MWC is one of three leagues with two or more teams in the top 10.
