Day of service in Southern Florida

Churches, community groups, city workers and businesses pitched in for the 2nd Annual Day of Service in Miramar, Florida, earlier this month.

South Florida Church public affairs coordinating council director Jennifer Samuels said that in addition to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, more than 160 others participated.

“We had city officials, local Walmart employees, New Hope church, Keys to Life church, ChristWay Baptist, Miramar United Methodist, Miramar Christian Center, Miramar Fire and Police and the Miramar High School varsity football team and girl's flag football team,” said Samuels.
