Favorite carol en EspaÑol an unlikely one

f you ask Spanish-speaking Mormons — those who were church members in the '60s — which Christmas carol brings tears to their eyes, you might be surprised how many say, "Jolly, Old St. Nicholas."

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was just getting up to speed on its Spanish translations back then, and that Christmas song was about the only one available for young Mormons south of the border.
