The funeral of Frances J. Monson, wife of Thomas S. Monson, president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will be held in the Salt Lake Tabernacle at noon on Thursday this week, 23 May. The public is invited to the funeral service. There will be no public viewing. Additional details will be forthcoming. Frances J. Monson passed away on Friday, 17 May, in a Salt Lake City hospital surrounded by family. She had been hospitalized for several weeks and passed away peacefully of causes incident to age. Sister Monson was 85 years old.
