Groundbreaking for the Mormon church's newest temple is set for Saturday.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints says it will take 24 months for the Gilbert Arizona Temple to be constructed.

Plans call for the temple to be built on a 21-acre rectangle on the southeast corner of Greenfield and Pecos roads along with a smaller meeting house.
