Julie Rogers

Julie, known for her vibrant colors and impressionistic style, masterfully executes pastels, watercolors and oil paintings. Julie has painted over 85 images of pioneers. “I love to record the simple things people do each day and capture the emotion of the moment. I only pray that as an artist, I may stir the heart of the viewer to a heightened sense of peace and joy.” Currently, the Washington D.C. Temple’s Visitor Center has her work on exhibit..

Thursday, December 20
Joseph F. Brickey

Joseph Brickey has spent over 20 years studying art throughout the United States and Europe and is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a Master’s from New York Academy of Art. His award-winning paintings have appeared in various publications and museums; he has found success and respect in painting many subjects, but considers creating religious artwork his greatest honor as an artist, including for LDS temples throughout the world. Joseph paints in a style reminiscent of the old masters, using classical form and composition to create art filled with symbolism. He is also an award-winning sculptor, gaining recognition in New York City and in Italy for his classical works in clay and marble. He believes that "art should both measure up in the museum and capture the common heart. The greatest art is that which generates the greatest good."

December 21
Sandra Rast

Sandra´s earliest memories include the love of art. Her passion for painting and drawing have been a great influence and factor in her personality and life. Always excelling in her education in art through grade school on, made an easy decision to major in fine art at the University of Utah and Brigham Young University. Through raising and helping support a family, art classes and painting groups helped feed the hunger and thirst for creating art. In each painting there is a deep feeling of intimacy of her beliefs and emotions which she portrays through color and composition.
