Lunch and Learn Series with Deseret Book Artists and Authors

11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Downtown Deseret Book Store, SLC, Utah

Friday, May, 17: Steve McGinty

Steve has traveled to Russia, France and England to study the art of the master painters. He has combined their strengths to create his own style. He continues his education through painting and studying with other artists, visiting museums and art shows, and reading art books. Steve can often be found in a rural area or in someone's garden painting "en plein aire" with his fellow artists.

"Why I Believe" Fireside

May 19, 7 p.m., Washington DC Visitor’s Center

Elder Byron and Sister Shirley Burnham will be speaking. They just started their mission serving at the DC Visitors' Center and are looking forward to serving in the DC area.

Bonnie Branch Trio Performance

May 25, 7 p.m., Washington DC Visitor’s Center

The BBT is a classical music ensemble made up of exceptionally talented teenagers from the DC area. They will share the joy of live music performance on flute, violin and piano.

Humanitarian Project: Center for Women and Children

May 18, Salt Lake City, Utah

The NAPO Salt Lake Chapter-in-Formation organizing group will host a great service day at the Salt Lake City Center for Women and Children, which serves local homeless women and children that turn to them for help each year. Volunteers are welcome to join. Monetary donations are also accepted.
