We are praying for Damian and his family that they might have a beautiful Christmas together!

A young father with terminal cancer is planning on an early Christmas with his family this week.

On Thursday Damian Secol, 35, returned to Rexburg where his wife, Cassie Secol, and their four children expect to celebrate Christmas before his passing. While Damian Secol is at home, hospice workers will tend to him.

Despite the situation, Cassie Secol says she still feels blessed and trusts in God.

“I've been buoyed up. When you know who's in charge, you get through it,” said Secol, who is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. “I have a testimony of the gospel.” Cassie Secol gave birth to the couple's youngest child, Eliza, on Nov. 3.

“Damian was able to bless our baby when he was in the hospital,” she said.
