LDS young man in Oklahoma receives JROTC Silver Valor Award

Because of his quick thinking in rescuing a 3-year-old from a swimming pool, Joshua M. Peterman, of the Village Ward, Oklahoma Oklahoma City Stake, received the JROTC Silver Valor Award earlier this year.

It’s the second highest award given to any ROTC candidate in high school or college and is awarded for a voluntary heroic act that doesn’t risk the student's life.
