Marie Osmond Asks for Prayers for Her Newborn Granddaughter

Latter-day Saint singer Marie Osmond is asking for prayers for her newborn granddaughter.

According to Marie's twitter account, her granddaughter was born Thursday evening but was taken to the children's ICU. So far, Marie has shared with People that the prognosis for her granddaughter looks great, but she did not share why her granddaughter was in the ICU.

Hundreds have replied with encouraging words.

Marie has often shared her faith during her career. In January, Marie opened up with People about her family's health crises.

"It's been an interesting year," Marie told People. "My brother Virl has a stroke, my brother Tom had a quadruple bypass, Jimmy had a stroke, Donny, of course, is having surgery. I have had a lot of loss in my life and difficult things, and everybody does . . . but I have great faith."
