Military devotional: Messages for LDS who serve in Middle East

Latter-day Saint men and women who wear their country's uniform and are deployed far from their families can enjoy a "sacred, revelatory, profoundly instructive experience with the Lord in any situation you are in."

That was the central message shared by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve in a special devotional directed at members serving in the military in the Middle East. The devotional was taped in Salt Lake City in early June and is available for viewing at www.lds.org (key word: military relations). Joining Elder Holland on the program were Elder Donald L. Hallstrom of the Presidency of the Seventy and Sister Linda K. Burton, Relief Society general president. Elder Bruce D. Porter of the Seventy, who helps supervise the work of the Middle East/Africa North Desk at Church headquarters, conducted the meeting.
