Mormon luger is best American with sixth place finish

Christian Niccum, one of eight Mormon athletes to compete in the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games, finished in sixth place in men's doubles luge on Wednesday, Feb. 17.

Niccum, of Woodinville, Wash., and his teammate, Dan Joye, had the best result out of two American entries, finishing 0.586 seconds behind the gold medal-winning time of 1 minute, 22.705 seconds from Andreas and Wolfgang Linger of Austria.
