New temple presidents

Five new temple presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service later this year.

Harvey K. Bowen, 70, Belmont 1st Ward, Cambridge Massachusetts Stake, called as president of the Boston Massachusetts Temple, succeeding President Robert S. Wood. President Bowen's wife, Kathleen Jones Bowen, will serve as temple matron. He serves as a temple ordinance worker and sealer in the Boston Massachusetts Temple and as a stake high councilor. He has previously served as co-chairman of the Boston Massachusetts Temple Open House and Dedication Committee, president of the Washington Tacoma Mission, stake president, bishop and high councilor. A fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, member of the National Academy of Engineering, and member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, he was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Elmer Joseph and Sara Darley Bowen.
