New temple presidents

Five new temple presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service later this year.

Blair Shields Bennett, 63, Nottingham Ward, Edmonton Alberta Bonnie Doon Stake, called as president of the new Calgary Alberta Temple. President Bennett's wife, Mary Jane Edwardine Christie Bennett, will serve as temple matron. He serves as a temple ordinance worker in the Edmonton Alberta Temple. He has served as an Area Seventy, president of the Bulgaria Sofia Mission, regional representative, stake president and bishop. A retired associate clinical professor, he was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, to Harold Enniss and Dora B. Bennett.
