Non-Mormon mom joyful over temple wedding

I am writing in response to the March 29 Republic article "Temple wedding off-limits to non-Mormon family." Coincidentally, my daughter Nicole was also married in the Mesa Temple on the same day.

I wish I had known this was going on. I could have given my view from a completely different perspective but involving the same situation.

My husband and I have raised them in Mesa. At the time we moved here, we were unaware of the strength in numbers of the Mormon Church.

From the time they started elementary school to now that they are in college, our daughters have had great friends who are members of the church. Some of our greatest friends belong to the church. They treat us with the utmost respect, just as any good friend should.
