One month later, investigators getting closer to cause of Provo Tabernacle fire

Alan and Kim Malan spent part of the Martin Luther King holiday Monday checking up on the progress at the Provo Tabernacle.

For the Malans and thousands of others in Utah County, the tabernacle has been a place for many family memories.

"Shows and graduations and stake conferences," said Alan Malan. "It was a piece of our world and is a piece of our world."

One month ago Monday, the tabernacle caught fire and investigators have been working ever since to find out why. Each day investigators say they get closer in their efforts to find what caused the historic building to catch fire, according to Provo Deputy Fire Chief Gary Jolley.
