Post-priesthood bonding important

General conference priesthood session may stir the souls of men while they gather to listen to inspired church leaders, but, apparently, it has the power to stir appetites, as well — and local businesses count on it.

Dallan Huff of Saratoga Springs, Utah, goes to the session with his father and four brothers. Afterward, like hundreds of thousands of men and boys, the six-man crew will hunt for a place to chow down on their "boys night out."

"We usually drive around to a few different places before we give up and end up going somewhere totally random," he said. "It never works out the way we want to because every restaurant is packed, but it is always fun because we have a good time and it's fun to be together."

Many restaurants and ice cream shops in Mormon epicenters like the Salt Lake Valley and Provo, Utah, see their bistro business double or triple in traffic.
