Mormons We Know

A meeting between two presidents takes place Monday morning at the White House. President Thomas S. Monson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will meet with President Obama in the Oval Office.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada, a member of the LDS Church, also will be there. The church describes the meeting as a courtesy visit.

It's unclear what they'll talk about. Mike Winder, author of "Presidents and Prophets: The Story of American Presidents and the LDS Church," said, "Families and the moral fiber of America are often discussions that come up."

The Salt Lake Tribune reports the meeting will happen around 11:30 a.m. Mountain Time.
