Salt Lake Airport Issues New Guidelines for Picking Up Missionaries

After around 1,600 missionaries returned home to the Salt Lake International Airport on Sunday from the Philippines, the Salt Lake Airport has issued new guidelines for picking up missionaries.

KSL.com reported the new guidelines: “Those picking up missionaries will be asked to park on the second level of the short-term parking garage and remain in their car. Missionaries will then be directed to the parking area to be picked up, and one vehicle will be allowed to pick up a missionary.”

The guidelines are "common-sense measures," and it is "imperative that missionaries and their families adhere to these guidelines for their own safety, the safety of their families, and the safety of the community," Church spokesman Eric Hawkins told KSL.com.
