December 2018 will mark the 200th anniversary of the first performance of the world's most loved Christmas carol. To commemorate this anniversary, a "Silent Night" 200-person "Mormon Choir" will travel to Germany and Austria. The world-famous Passion Play Theater in Oberammergau, Germany, will host this historic event. Performances will also take place in Salzburg and Oberndorf, Austria.

Individuals and groups who wish to join in commemorating this event are encouraged to register! Spots available for singers, family, and friends!

"Silent Night" was first performed at St. Nicholas Church in Oberndorf, Austria. Joseph Mohr, a young priest, wrote the words to the song while Franz Gruber, a schoolmaster and organist, composed the melody. The first performance was accompanied by a guitar. A special invitation to participate is extended to those who can accompany on the guitar.

The Silent Night Tour will take place during the magical Christmas season in Bavaria when Christkindlmarkts come alive with holiday cheer.

Join the choir tour that will perform for the 200th anniversary of "Silent Night" in Austria and Germany. Festival highlights include the Christkindlmarkt (Christmas Market), Neuschwanstein Castle, Oberammergau, Salzburg, and Oberndorf.
