Status of Missionaries Accounted for Following US Southeast Tornado

Tornadoes and violent storms swept across the US Southeast Easter Sunday, causing widespread damage into Monday.

According to Church News, missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have all been safely accounted for. Church spokesman Doug Andersen stated that there have been no early reports of damage to Church-owned properties or buildings. At least one Latter-day Saint home has been impacted.

The Associated Press reported more than 30 deaths in South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Arkansas, and North Carolina due to the storm and power outages for 1.3 million.
