Thanks to brother, disabled 6th-grader joins class hike

Gabe Adams wasn't sure he could make the four-mile hike with the rest of the sixth-graders at Kaysville Elementary. Neither did Gabe's mother, Janelle. Gabe, 11, is very nearly self-sufficient, despite being born without limbs. He has learned how to walk and climb stairs. His wheelchair lowers him up and down so he can get on and off the chair as he likes. He maneuvers the chair with his head. He also writes and draws by placing a pencil between his cheek and shoulder. He can flip the pencil to use the eraser by himself.
