The Cookie Conundrum

A few weeks ago, I found myself craving something seriously yummy and I couldn’t find anything that quite fit the bill in my kitchen. It was a Sunday, so I obviously couldn’t just hop down to the convenience store…so I decided to bake. I pulled out my recipe book collection and started flipping through trying to find the perfect cookie recipe.

First, I went through my Grandma’s collection, then my Mom’s ward cookbook, my own ward cookbook and finally, I resorted to the Betty Crocker cookbook. Everything was either too time consuming or just didn’t sound good. I finally found a recipe in a random recipe box that I had hanging around from when I was in college. It was PERFECT. I started gathering ingredients and realized that I didn’t have everything I needed to make those delicious cookies.
