The Provo MTC is now open. Here's the status of more MTCs around the world

by | Jul. 06, 2021

After 15 months, three of the Church’s 10 missionary training centers are now training missionaries in person after all MTCs stopped training missionaries on site due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

248 missionaries arrived at the Provo Missionary Training Center on June 23, the Ghana Missionary Training Center reopened with 48 missionaries last week, and the New Zealand Missionary Training Center has now welcomed 25 new missionaries.

The Mexico, England, and Philippines MTCs have all been approved to resume in-person training in late July and August.

Now missionary training centers are implementing a new phased approach for training full-time missionaries, a training process that combines online and onsite instruction.
