The celebrities we see in magazines and on the big screen are probably the last people we should emulate, but if you watch closely, sometimes their choice of dress can surprise you - in a good way. Last Sunday was the Golden Globes, and colder temperatures meant that, while these celebrities aren't often muses of modesty, they favored warmth over skin and showed some beautiful, modestly inspired gowns. (Note: not all of these are perfectly modest according to LDS standards, but I think they can still certainly provide inspiration for LDS women who wish to be fashionable and modest.)

And a couple special mentions: I love that 14-year-old actress Ariel Winter didn't feel the need to age herself as many young actresses do. Insetad, she stayed true to her years and greeted the night in a bright, youthful dress:
