Elder Frejistre was 16 when he became homeless.

For two months, he lived in hotels until one night he reached out to one of his good friends for help.

"He picked us up and he brought us to his home. We had Taco Bell that night," Elder Frejistre says. "And ever since that day, I've been adopted for about two years."

But after experiencing homelessness, Elder Frejistre says he became more withdrawn and less outgoing than he used to be, which made it challenging to approach people on his mission. But something happened when he was prompted to talk a complete stranger that he will never forget.

A few years ago, Sister Miller wanted nothing to with the Church.

In fact, "The first memory I have of the missionaries is running away from them," Sister Miller shares.

But when her mother was so sick Sister Miller and her family worried she might pass away, the missionaries knocked on her door and offered a priesthood blessing.

Elder Reyes just happened to be at a friend's house when he heard a knock at the door.

"I looked through the peephole and it was the missionaries," he shares. "I was like, 'Man, I don't want to open this door.'"

But he did.

After the missionaries offered to teach Elder Reyes lessons and as they said the closing prayer, Elder Reyes heard the Spirit whisper in his ear something that would change the course of his life.
